Everyone needs to start voting for Frank for the All-Star Game. He is clearly better than the players in front of him. Us Sox fans have to make sure Frank is there. He is down by about 300,000 votes and there is only two more weeks of voting.

1. Giambi, J.Yankees 459,475

2. Delgado, C.Blue Jays263,480

3. Millar, K.Red Sox225,890

4. Palmeiro, R.Orioles199,832

5. Thomas, F.White Sox182,130

It's not going to happen. It's very rare that the most deserving players get voted into the All-Star Game. That's the price you pay when the fans are allowed a say. Nomar Garciaparra has played a week but is the front-runner for AL shortstops.

Maybe it's just me (or my computer), but it's nice to see large chunks again.

Kevin Millar in 3rd? Red Sox fans are doofuses. Ramirez or Varitek? Sure. Millar? Forget it.

The really sad thing about all this is that unless Frank is leading the AL in home runs in 2 weeks, I don't see him making the All Star team at all. The rbi will be overrated and Ortiz will be the backup voted 1b. Thus it will be left in Torre's hands and he won't bring Frank on. I am willing to bet we'll be trying our darnest to vote him in at #32 just like last year. Maybe this time no bosox or yanks will be in our way.

Let me see. 30 vote limit (per day?)

How many days until they announce the starters/close the ballots?

270,000 votes behind.

I think I'll pass. My online time will be better spent surfing for porn.

Regardless of votes, we all know toree is gonna play his pillow biting buddy Giambi. Just like the entire all star bench is gonna look like the yankees if not already voted in. Can we have ray liotta come back out and berate the fans as to how much morons they are to vote a 220 hitter into the all star game(jeter) and such? He did his field of dreams spiel in millwaukee, lets see turbulence\goodfellas in houston.

I gave my 25. Next I have to check if it is 25 per email address and if so I will be using my work, hotmail and every other address I can think of. It only takes 3 minutes to cast all 25 votes as the page stores all your picks and only requires the code to be entered each time.
We won the nasn vote using the posters on this board so why not the all star vote!

I put in 50 so far. You know what I think if we create a mass hotmail situation like bighurtvote1, 2, 3, etc. We could make a legitimate impact if we get EVERYONE behind this.

Because the nasn vote was a small thing. This is a lot bigger. Yankee and Red Sox fans outnumber us and they're still going to be adding to those vote totals. It's just not gonna happen for any White Sox player.

Agreed. Getting Frank into the game is going to take a lot of work. There are too many Yankees and Red Sox fans, in addition to the idiots who just vote for whomever the media hypes the most. I've always advocated letting fans vote, but this is the drawback of doing so. There are too many people voting who don't follow baseball closely enough to know what's really going on.

When I was up in Milwaukee for the Brewers game they had guys walk into each section and pass out All-Star ballots to everyone there. Then, a few innings later, the same guy would come back to collect them.

If they do that at every game, that's a few thousand extra votes for Scott Podsednick right there. We should do something similar.

It's still a longshot for Frank to win the voting at first base, but I think his chances of making the All Star team have increased somewhat in the past week. Carlos Delgado is on the disabled list, so that eliminates him from consideration by Joe Torre. If Giambi wins the voting, then he's automatically on the team, so Torre can't pick him over Frank. Palmeiro isn't having that great of a season, so he's out.

I could see Torre picking Konerko over Frank, believe it or not. For some reason, people tend to think that Frank cannot physically play first base. It's as if there is a wall or force-field separating the dugout from first, so Frank cannot walk from the dugout to his position. I've never understood this line of thinking. Thomas is not a bad first baseman by any means, and he is willing to play there if the team needs it. In fact, the last time he was asked about playing first, he said he wanted to be out there more often.

If Torre screws Frank over again, he'd better hope the Yankees and Sox don't meet in the post-season. If they do... we might be seeing the last of the Yankees. No one can withstand the power of the Big Hurt once it's unleashed.

I would Volunteer to do that, but I'm 700 miles away.:(:
