Heck, how do you vote more than once. I tried clearing all my cookies and my temp files and it still wouldn't let me vote more than once.

I would be careful with a massive surge, they might decide it was rigged and put something else on.

their script is probably checking IP addresses, registering only one vote per IP.
bucktown is likely working on something that will use some type of randomly generated proxy to trick their system.

but yeah, slow and steady is the way to go on this one.

Looks like you're going to win this one **knock on wood**....but you should really consider getting mlbtv off the mlb.com website. I went to school in Milwaukee, and I ordered it for April so I could watch all the games. They come in really good and 9 times out of 10 I got the chicago broadcast also. Its something like $14 for 30 days, so I strongly suggest you look into buying it for the last couple months at least, or sooner with the Cubs Sox series coming up. I'll be the first to admit that sitting in front of a computer isnt exactley the ideal way to watch a baseball game, but beggars cant be choosers.

but you should really consider getting mlbtv off the mlb.com websiteYou have to consider the cost of broadband (expensive in ireland) as dialup is no way to watch a game. Irish,

How popular is baseball in the old country??

It is a growing sport and is beginning to be run very well. There is serious attempts to get more little league activity too. The majority of the active players are Irish which will help secure its future. I must say though that it would not have got this far without the support of Peter O'Malley (ex dodgers owner) who funded the building of a regulation field in Dublin and also mlb international who supply coaches each summer and equipment too.

Good job everyone!
Cape,

Way to rally the troops on your end! Thanks to all the Marlins fans who did their share as well.

Right back at you. Great way to mobilize this board and come over to ours and get us rolling.

(sniff) That was freaking beautiful, man. I love you all...:whiner:

Got to love that Sox Army. Think the only time we lost was last summer with the Big Hurt in the ASG thing and I understand they threw out like 200K votes to keep him out...

Glory Glory to George Bova
Sox Army went supernova
Dropped an atom bomb
and the Phillies game was gone
The Sox Army marches on...

Looked at your stats.....looks like your OBP is high - been watching the Big Hurt much? Your strike zone must be small and you rarely swing - right? Good luck tomorrow and tip a few pints for us!
:gulp:
That's why I tend to manage more than play these days although those stats don't include last weekend (2 for 4 with a double, a walk, a swinging K and a lineout.

Anyway I am just about to use up the remainder of my 25 all star votes (incl. a write in for Uribe).

One question, Irish. How on earth do you pronounce your catcher's first name? (Ruaidhri) I've dealt with a few Siobhan's and a Roisin, but that one's got me stumped.:?:

It is the gaelic form of Rory pronounced 'RUR-EE'. If you can prounounce Siobháin properly you will do OK. BTW his stats don't show it yet but the guy is a stud (he is only 16) and has all the tools and the mental attitude to be the best player in our league soon.
