Why is Edmonds playing infield

I am thoroughly enjoying the thrashing the Flubs are taking. One questions, why is Edmonds playing the infield.

He's a gold-glove caliber CF.

Yup. I'd rather see Taguchi (sp?) in there than John Mabry.

Edmonds has played 1st before, and I would continue to put Edmonds at 1st for the next few days until Pujols comes back.
