Will it be blacked out on ESPN and aired on another channel?

I can't remember the last time ESPN wasn't blacked out in the Chicagoland area. This should be fun seeing them on national tv for once (other than Fox).

Sunday Night Baseball is shown nationwide and is not blacked out in the cities of the two teams

This'll be great. I love the announcers, the sound quality, the resolution.

And I hope we all like the outcome! (b-doom ching)

That game was a disaster. Colon gave up several home runs. The only hard-hit ball for the Sox that night was a ball Frank Thomas hit to the warning track that died because of the wind. Jerry Manuel was shown afterwards standing in the dugout smirking.

Man, Crede is just terrible. He can't keep playing. He can't even get a sac fly.

Crede really looks bad up there. That pitch was way off the outside corner.

RedPinStripes

Crede needs to get shot in the ass with an elephant gun if he sticks his ass out and taps a ball for another ground out . ESPECIALLY WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A PITCH TO FLY OUT FOR A SAC FLY!!!!!!

There is just a GAPING hole at the bottom of our lineup. No way Jose should play over dransfeldt when a lefty pitches. And Crede is, well.......... (you fill in the blank)

We need to pick it up. No excuses. Twins didn't use excuses when their whole team went down with injuries. They just stayed close. And one player doesn't help CLee hit HR, or stop JOe from playing really bad, or help Jose against lefties.

This team is full of mental midgets. When any kind of adversity comes up the freeze up. They are not pressure players. We can't keep hitting so horribly with RISP or its gonna be a long season.

ESPN just doesn't care about the White Sox. The only way to change that is to win consistently. The blame for this lies squarely on one man ------------------------> :reinsy

Can someone tell Jon Miller how to pronounce Loaiza's name, please? Most people either put the emphasis on the first or last syllable. Miller's the only guy I've ever heard put the emphasis on the middle syllable.

Maybe Juan OO-Ribe can let him know :?:
Or maybe Larry Walker
Or maybe our switch hitter Jose Valentin

Miller is too busy talking about the beautiful skyline he can see from the booth and THEN saying the roof was open as ESPN was showing a panoramic view of it. 2 away bottom 8 with Shingo pitching.

While Uribe did have another ) fer night, his sac bunt was great and he hit the ball hard two of the other three times. Good signs.

I might be wrong.. and I know a lot of people say es-TAH-ban but I think the correct pronounciation is actually es-STAY-ban.

Uribe has been more unlucky than bad. He's had a few poor approaches - especially against Duscherrer the other night. But overall he's been hitting it hard at people. I'm not worried about his bat. His glove has been impressive too.

Well, Esteban ends in an "n" and I thought that was one of the letters that cause the llena stress, along with the vowels and "s". There might be one or two others, but I don't remember, as this subject was talked about only briefly and a year ago in Spanish.

Based upon that, I would think that the proper pronunciation would be Es-(s)TAY-ban. Of course, my reasoning on Damaso Marte's name was rather wrong, so that's why I'm gonna leave it to the experts.

This is awful guys. I can't believe that this keeps happening game after game and no one does anything. Koch may be the luckiest baseball player of all time. He is a AAA pitcher who gets the opportunity to close in the majors. He has been bad for two years.

KOCH SUCKS. I really don't want to hear ANYONE talk about how Koch just got "unlucky" or how he's "8 for 10 in saves" or how the "offense should have scored more" or any of that crap. He is TERRIBLE. Whatever mojo closers have, be it nerves of steel or whatever, he just doesn't have "it".

06-06-2004, 10:20 PM
Why the **** do you intentionally walk a man with 2 strikes on him already? And yes we do need another closer, but I think we could always use Damaso in that role. We have no one for the 5th spot.

Greg1983
06-06-2004, 10:20 PM
This is the second time in the same road trip that this idiot has screwed up a game. I don't get to see the Sox that often on TV; he has single-handedly managed to wreck the last two games televised in my area.

Until Billy Koch is fired, I'm off the bandwagon. It is impossible to support this team with this hack occupying as important a position as closer. Just about every other guy in this lineup did his job tonight. I'm tired of seeing one moron ruin the efforts of everyone else.
