Lew Ford with another HR. Unreal. 2-2 tie. This is one of the guys that stepped up when their players went down. We need somebody to step up like that with Maggs out.

Lecroy HR. Unbelievable. 3-2 Twins. THey are going to score 6 runs this series and win two games. I wish we could find a way to win like that when our bats suck.

Hit by Pitch works.

So much for that idea.

6-3 Twins. What a terrible week. The first of many for that kid I'd imagine. I can't believe that we could only be 1 game up if we lose tonight when the Twins have been losing the the Drays and Royals. They have to feel incredibly good about themselves after a week like that.

Solo homer and an rbi single by Ivan Rodriguez makes it 6-5. Twins still up, but only one out in the ninth...

Rondell White misses a two run bomb by... 5 feet.

2 outs bottom of the ninth.

Runner on first, one run lead.

They'll feel incredibly bad about themselves when they realize that they squanded countless opportunities against bad teams.

Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Finish the rally Detroit!

Game over. Strikeout.
Nathan does his best Koch impression. 1 inning, 2 ER.

Unfortunately the Twins don't think like that. What happens when they get hot? They find ways to win, even when they are sucking, something we have not learned to do in 3 years.

They were bound to win one of these series against a below average foe.

Time for us to take another series and come home.

Why do people constantly revert to talking about the past with the Twins. Have you actually watched them this year?

How many times have they found ways to win during this stellar 8-13 stretch?

A tremendous 3-4 homestand against TB and Detroit, teams that have combined for a whopping 20-35 mark away from home.

I'm so impressed.

I see what you are saying, but at the same time, instead of having a 2-5 homestand like they should have when they were really playing horribly, they turned that into a much better 3-4 homestand. We'll see if we can do the same. We're not playing really well right now, and we have to turn a 1-4 trip into a 2-3 trip. In the past we haven't done that. Tonight will tell a lot I would imagine. To be only one game up after the Twins have played as bad as they have would be pretty dissapointing. Does it matter ALL that much in the long run? Not really.

My point is that the Twins limit themselves from ever falling too far behind no matter how badly they are playing.
