52 out of the last 75 games for the White Sox and the final twenty games of the year for the White Sox come against AL central opponents. 8 of our last 11 games come against the Royals and their awful lefty pitching staff. Only 3 of those 52 games are in the BaggyDome. We play 6 games against the Twins at home during that stretch. On the contrary only about 25 out of Minny's last 66 games come against AL Central opponents. The majority of Minny's games against the AL West and all of their games against Boston and New York come in this stretch.

Whereas last year we had the tougher 2nd half schedule, we have a much easier 2nd half schedule this year so even if we're hovering near .500, somewhere that I don't think we'll be, we would still have a lot of hope down the stretch because of the relative ease of our schedule and the relative difficulty of theirs.

It looked kinda tough in Spring, but now that KC is horrible and we seem to have no problem sweeping them if we get up for it, we could very well win the division in September. We're only like 12-8 vs. the Central right now, we have to improve on that. Detroit will be a key...they played us tough last year and now they're ten times better. Literally.

Knowing that we'll probably take 12ish games from them.

This is great news. The Yankees have OWNED the Twins the last few years. Haven't they won something like their last 15 games against them?

The Twins have not beaten the Yankees since May 10th, 2001. They have lost 13 straight games to them since that day. 3 years since the Twins have a W over the Yanks. That might be the longest such streak in baseball.

Technically the Twins beat the Yankees ONCE in last years playoffs.

But it's been a long time since they've had a regular season win against them.
