What you guys think of Jeromy Burnitz? He is making 1,250,000 this year and the Rockies would trade him for young pitchers. He is the LH power that we need, he can play CF (not great on defense) or LF put C Lee on first and bench PK.

Burnitz's Stats (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5061)

He Ks too much but has a 1.013 OPS.

2 words: Coors Field. Outside of that, Jeromy's a very medicore hitter, and he can't even spell his first name properly.

I'd rather have Burnitz than Gload, I suppose, but I don't think Burnitz is an everyday player outside of Coors. He's a poor man's Valentin.

The problem with this team is that they too often play as if they were a beer softball team. Getting the biggest swing for the fences player since Rob Deer is not a very good idea for this team or our sanity.
