White Sox executive George W. Bradley, a special assistant to general manager Ken Williams, died today of a heart attack in Tampa, Fla. He was 58.

Bradley had been with the White Sox since 1991, first as a national crosschecker and later held several positions with the organization. He was named baseballís East Coast Scout of the Year in 2000.

In addition to spending the last decade with the Sox, Bradley worked for six other Major League teams and also once worked for the NHL's Detroit Red Wings.

Bradley is survived by his parents and a sister. Services are pending.
