Why is Gload batting third?

I mean I understand that that is where the RF normally bats, but the RF is normally Magglio.

Uribe needs to be in the 3-hole today, he's hitting .370! I don't know what Ozzie is thinking with Gload there.

Gload is probably wondering himself, "What the hell am I doing batting 3rd on a first place team?"

Yeah, that makes no sense. I'd have Gload much deeper in the order.

Meanwhile, he just beat out an infield hit...making us both look bad....for now.

To what do you guys think we attribute the night and day difference b/t Frank at home and Frank on the road? Could it all be due to the fact that he can take swings in the batting cage at home between at bats? That seems to simple of an explanation for me...

I believe Frank has stated he feels much better at home because of that fact. He's able to keep himself busy. Which is why I'm all for starting him in the field for road games. Keeps him from overthinking his at bats.

Yes, put Frank in at 1B. What Frank might lack in defense will more than be made by getting Paulie's brutal bat out of the lineup. Let Valentin play 1B at home.

That's true- even though he is generally sucking he's been quite clutch. Roward is a 4th outfielder, nothing more.

It's games like this that HELP lose divisions. WHile we lose a 1-0 game against a crap pitcher, Minny sweeps with a 1-0 win.

This team is the same as last year. I see no difference between JM and Ozzie, other than the fact that we got lucky a couple of times off of the WORST bullpens in the AL.

This sucks, but I'm not giving up. I never do. If we do end up losing the division though, it will be because of games like this.

We have to win game two just to stay 1 game back. Great.

Well, if the rookie pitcher is throwing up junk that would require our hitters to be patient, we're going to make him look very good.

If he's a fastball-heavy guy, we've got a good chnace to rake him. That's how it goes.
