When is this team going to snap out of this hitting slump?

We really needed that. Give the boys confidence with the bats. Especially Willie!

Willie Harris is awesome. Maggs is out of his slump, and Jose might be getting there too...

Carlos, your gonna miss the bus, and we really need you for Minnesota!

Great game that's exactly what they needed, I like these games better then one run games. :)

Willie Harris is my new favorite player.

I just hope they don't follow it with a 3-2 loss or something tomorrow. The bats must stay hot.

That said, tonight was awesome, more so than the offense, but because Buehrle looked absolute fantastic. That's the kind of pitching we need from Mark.

Any word on if Diaz goes tomorrow?

beckett21
05-11-2004, 09:38 PM
Well I wouldn't get too excited about it. We just got about 15 or so lucky breaks. There has to be some gloom and doom here somewhere.

Glad we won't have to hear any of that crap tonight!

Diaz is going on Thursday, Delben.

awesome that this team was able to rebound and regroup like this.

Agreed Beckett that stuff was just getting annoying. I hope tomorrow Gload starts again and Carlos gets the day off. It really helps having a couple of left handed bats down in the lineup.

Buehrle had his best start in a l o n g time
Harris is now batting .327
Uribe is at .370
Valentin is at .283
Magglio is at .301 and has driven in 28 runs
Frank hit a rare three-run homer
Gload had a big hit
Timo brought his average back up to .273

Twins are losing (though they have the bases loaded and none out in the 8th).

Life is good.

The only thing better was keeping a group of Cub fans from getting the big screen changed to the Cub game at the local establishment I was at. Even though the bar is a cub bar they know a regular when they see one.

****. Minnesota just came back to tie Seattle. In all likelihood, they will soon take the lead.

15-0 and for nothing. Great.

Hawk and DJ said that they have had conlicting reports on whether Diaz is starting on Thursday or Saturday. I believe that he will start Thursday, and I've heard that from a couple of diffrent sources. To all those who were upset about the Toronto series, please sit back and watch the boys play all season. They'll be swept again, and will return the favor to other clubs. This is baseball, one of the longest seasons in professional sports. Enjoy the explosiveness of this team, which we've witnessed tonight. I think that the sox have only lost by more than 4 runs in ONE game. In some of those four run games we've lost with the bases loaded. Be patient, the starting rotation will come around, and our offense will stay fairly consistent, by having diffrent people get hot at diffrent times. Carlos, and Konerko in particular. Can't wait to go watch Diaz's Major League Debut.

15-0 = first place. Yeah I know it's a tie. But it's still 1st.

Please explain to me how the win would be for nothing. even if the twins win, we stay tied as opposed to falling one game back. Besides you congratulated the twins on winning the division sunday, right ? so i guess all these games are meaningless anyway.

Yup for absolutely nothing. Homefish give me a break if the sox lose and the twins win the sox lose a game, you already gave the twins the division crown anyways so why do you even care anymore?

You still here?

And please, what if we had lost 15-0 and the Twins won. Then we'd be a game back in that situation instead of tied.

let's get back to my beloved white sox:

tonight was my first game. these are the good things that happened in no particular order:

1. sox win
2. sox win by 15
3. i win the pick to click
4. one regular churro
5. one chocolate churro
6. one kosher dog
7. two bleacher fights

i have to say- the stadium looked great. my only complaint is that without the bright blue roof its takes longer to find the stadium driving up pershing.

Whoo-hoo! What a great game! Seems buehrle may be back to his old self, and even though the offense was awesome (you can't argue with 19 hits), buehrle's pitching was the best news of the night.

They score four in the 8th. Win in the 11th. big time momentum. ugh. stupid twins

Momentum means very little in baseball...just because you have a big come from behind win doesn't anything the next day.

It plays a small part, but nothing major. Now HOT streaks are a different story.

Wilson is an idiot; I could've caught that. Talk about nerves here people.

Also I hope Shannon Stewart is seriously hurt.

Of course, I gotta assume that it will all be just a big act and he'll be back in full action tomorrow. Kind of like Torii Hunter.

If there's any team with which momentum is NOT a factor, it's the Twins.

See our sweep at home in 2003 capped with a Frank walkoff.

Just got off work and looked online. Had to rub my eyes a few times. Does it get any better??

A truly summery day and a truly dominant hitting/pitching performance. Looks like we've got plenty to look forward to. Way to go, White Sox!

I'll be sleeping well tonight.

Cub fans mock Sox fans for wearing Cubs stuff like the 'Cork' T-shirt or 'The Sammy Sosa Cork Company' to Sox games when they're not playing the Cubs.

So why don't people who wear Cubs gear to a Sox/Orioles game get the same abuse by the media?

I saw quite a few people in Cubs jersey's tongiht. Add alcohol to these idiots and of course you're going to see fights.
