Apparently old Comiskey had blue seats up until late 70's. You can see them at:

Thanks for the pics! 445 to straightaway center? Damn! (in background of '59 old timers game pic)

In those pictures, it is hard to tell what color they are. I'm sure someone who was actually there can tell us.

I have seen that picture in the hallway where the skyboxes are. The seats are as blue as the sky

1972 team color pic, the seats are definitely blue

The seats were green through the 50's. I'm not sure if it was Veeck or Allyn that painted them blue, but it wasn't till the late-70's that they were painted green again.

I believe the seats were red when the ballpark was brand new. Maybe our pal TornLabrum can fill the rest of us in on this very important topic!

Didn't Veeck have multi-colored seats in the upperdeck in the late 70's too?

Yes, but that was just one section, in the left field upper deck.

And when they went to green seats in the 80's the fans came out in droves.

Those multi colored upper deck seats were considered prime seats so they were sold at slightly higher prices.

The 1972 team pic is awesome looking. Those are really excellent uniforms if you overlook that they make no sense as we're the White Sox. If only that other team didn't exist we could use those uniforms and not be laughed at. I love those unis. RedPinStripes, I see why you chose your name.
