ESPN Classic Schedule (http://espn.go.com/classic/schedule/s/)

While perousing the TV guide this week for special programming I noticed ESPN Classic is going to run the 1983 Sox - Orioles ALCS game # 1. Get those VCR's ready gentlemen and watch Dewey LaMaar Hoyt dispatch the Birds.

This was the only game of the '83 playoffs I was able to watch in its entirety. I was on my honeymoon in Sedona AZ that week. I remember watching Game #1 and it starting at 10:00 am AZ time on a weekday morning. I also remember getting totally blasted drinking beer and Bailey's Irish Cream while watching that game in the morning. :gulp:

P.S. Please make note that all times listed on their schedule are Eastern, so while it says 5:00 - 7:00 on Wed, for those of us in Chi-town that's 4:00 on Wed afternoon it will run.

Bump.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've taped the late two games they've showed: Seaver's 300th win and Fisk's '81 return to Boston. This will be a fun game to see again too. I remember missing the first 6 innings because I was in school at the time.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm always on the lookout for another game to add to my collection.

I guess it'd be nice to see the Britt Burns Game 4 heartbreaker sometime down the road too.

That was a great game - And they said Cy Young's milestone would never be matched.
