6 7 Chicago White Sox
They have six walkoff victories in their first 26 games. They're all intentional walkoff victories. Their opponents say it's getting a little tiring.

I read in ESPN ranking that we are #14 and that we won't keep winning games much longer.

You should see the Tribune Rankings... We're 49th and it say we haven't won a game yet and we play in a crappy stadium with no fans...

The games have been close in Baltimore... well 2 of them... but the bottom line is we got 2 wins out of the series. W's are better than L's!!! Hence 1st place :).

I'm sure they have nothing but praise for the no-pitching-soon-to-crash-and-burn Rangers. Just like they did with KC last year who actually held first place while being OUTSCORED by their opponents. We're just not winning by enough for ESPN to be happy. I guess you gotta be even luckier than we are to be "good."

Chicago White Sox
Jose Valentin has averaged 108 strikeouts a season since 1999. Out with a strained left hammy, he whiffed 11 times in his first 19 at-bats during his minor league rehab assignment. Yep, he's ready.

Priceless. :D:

I love it!! Bring it on! I wanna see all of these people have to eat their words! You guys shouldn't be upset about ESPN - you should be laughing.

One local writer I know of said, at the start of the season, that KC was going to win the division and that the Sox didn't have a prayer.

Last nite a cub fan bet me $50 that the Royals would finish ahead of the Sox in the American League Central Division. This was after I reminded him of the importance pitching plays in winning games. He still took the bet. It looks like Frank was right. We are going to suprise a lot of people this season.
