View Full Version : One run game record not something to be too worried about

Why should we not be worried about our record in one run games? Because we're in a division which is clearly becoming a two-team race between us and the Twins. What are we both doing? Outperforming our expected win-loss based on runs scored/runs against. If you look at this this (http://baseballprospectus.com/statistics/standings.html), it will show you that the Twins are actually outperforming their expected W/L more than we are, so wer're in a pretty good position. The Royals are doing much worse than their expected W/L and even so, they are not nor will they be a contender. With the crappiness of their pitching staff, they never will be a contender this year and they never were one (despite what the ESPN idiots and the like said before the year started). The AL Central is a two team race in which both teams are overacheivers who could both find a way to collapse.
