It only makes sense to put down Dransfeldt because you don't want four middle infielders

But having three catchers is a better option?

Dransfeldt goes down now, and when a 5th starter is needed, a pitcher will be recalled for Burke either to take Cotts place in the bullpen, or as the 5th starter...

Burke plays third base & first base (I believe), too.

We already have about 17 1B/DH types on the team, and Dransfeldt can play third base, so Burke still really adds nothing to this team. I still dont see the point in him being recalled.

I have a feeling that Burke was called up because Sandy Alomar can't play every 4th day. The Sox won't cut or trade Alomar, so bring up Burke and once every two weeks, Alomar will get a start.

But then what about Buehrle's starts where he prefers and from what I hear politely demands that Alomar catches him?

Well, he'd better get used to it, because Alomar ain't gonna be here next year.

Also, Buehrle's pick-off move and motion out of the stretch keeps people from running on him, so Olivo's arm doesn't help him as much as it does Garland and Loaiza.

I posted a Gload thread about him deserving to get sent down but it was deleted for some reason.

I still think it should be him. He's swinging at everything.

Can we send down Valentin for Valentin? :D:

I imagine Dransfelt goes down, but he's done a nice job since he's been up here.

That seems pretty unfair. Some of the moderators must be Gload fans.

Ha! It'll never happen. Sending down Koch and bringing up Wunsch, Diaz, or Grilli? Nah, makes too much sense.

Dransfeldt, hands down.
