link-but click on image number 3209922 or the one of a baseball field on the bottom right of your screen (sorry couldn't get a direct link) (http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/CFW/imageResults.aspx?s=ImagesSearchState|0|15|0|1|||0 |0|0|0|7|white+sox&p=7)

Note: I couldn't get a direct link so I did the best I could...

Here is the caption in question:

Caption:
CHICAGO - 1906: A general view of a 1906 World Series game between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox in Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs won the series 4-2. (Photo by National Baseball Hall of Fame Library/MLB Photos via Getty Images)

The caption says the Cubs won the 1906 series. Jesus christ, get it right people. Google it if you have to. Just another example of the media bias towards the flubs. Hangar, I hope you are proud! :)

ok well, the link I posted doesn't work, so just go to this site (http://editorial.gettyimages.com/ms_gins/CFW/home.aspx?pg=1) search for white sox, go to page 518 and its the last picture of a baseball field (black and white). Or if you didn't understand a word I just said, or are too lazy to go there, just take my word for it :D:

Suddenly people believe the Cubs have a winning tradition. Certainly they won in 1907 and 1908, but it must be hard for some people to believe they every lost the World Series.

Absolutely pathetic.

I'm not sure if I was the only one to do this or not, but I e-mailed Getty informing them of the horrendous error in that caption. They have since corrected it.

(you can also get to the photo by entering the ID#, 3209922, in the search box)
