IF THE SOX PLAN TO CONTEND FOR THE
PLAYOFFS,THEY GOTTA MAKE THIS TRADE

"the sox-sox deal"

Chicago gets
Brian Daubach
Pokey Reese
Doug Mirabelli
Byung-Hyun Kim
Cash

Boston gets
Billy Koch
Willie Harris
Sandy Alomar jr
Joe Borchard
Dan Wright

Boston would never do that deal

I wouldn't even want to do that deal.

he_gone_89

why not

all of the players they would be trading are currently
on their team's inactive list with the exemption of
Pokey Reese because nomar is hurt

Why exactly would the Sox (White) want any of them? Daubach sucks (besides where would you put him with PK, Frank, and Gload still on the team), same for Mirabelli, Pokey Reese may as well be Uribe's older twin, and Kim has been very inconsistent since leaving Arizona.

I don't understand why the Sox would want any of these guys even if they didn't have to give up Borchard, Wright (who is a decent pen guy, maybe not a starter), and Sandy (I hate Sandy Alomar, but I think he's doing Olivo some good). I'm all for dumping Koch, but this deal just plain sucks.

well,Thomas's months are numbered in my opinon
and with Gload more than likely coming off the bench for the
rest of the year,Daubach could be a solid fill at DH[he did have
good numbers in boston so,maybe he will have a revival

as for the others,i'd much rather see another juan uribe
than a willie harris. he's like a mix of carl lewis and bob uecker
and sandy is like 50,so we can use a younger veteran behind the
plate

dan wright and billy koch should be playin in AA

Geez, what a bunch of really ignorant comments. Sandy brings a lot more to the table than what you see. Sandy's presence in the lockerroom in tutoring a guy like Olivo is invaluable, and he's almost like a 2nd pitching coach for our staff. The Wright and Koch comment appears to have been a joke, but both guys obviously deserve to be at least in triple A. Wright's pitched a couple of decent games with no run support, and we all saw last night what Koch can do when his head is right.

You are out of your mind!!!! We don't want any of those people!! we need harris koch (yes i can only imagine what your saying) and alomar!! bad idea!! Danny Wright can leave but thats it!!

This is ridiculous. Boston wouldn't want any of those players and isn't about to give up Mirabelli or Pokey.

Sandy is a veteran who makes Olivio better. Harris is starting to get his swing down and he's an excellent fielder(did I mention he's the fastest one on the team). Billy Koch is also getting his pitches better. He may not be the same Billy Koch he was 3 years ago, but he's gotten better than he was last year. Danny Wright may bot be a starter, but he can be an excellent relief pitcher. I say if we make any trades trade Valentine for some pitchers and put Uribe at short stop.

He_Gone_89, Then we can trade Jose Valentin for Nomar, Pedro for Garland, Foulke for Koch. Hell, maybe they'll even throw in Schilling for Danny Wright!

I hate trade proposal threads anyway, but this one really sucks...

You can NOT give Harris and or Koch away. Simply put...nobody wants them.

All I can say is that I am glad you are not our GM. A few bad games here and there and we would be fielding a bunch of castoffs from other teams.

didn't the White Sox learn last year that Brian Daubach is not that good?

This is the longest time ever devoted to such a large scale trade involving a bunch of really mediocre players. I don't understand what this does for either team.

Someone else with brain cramp and no originality. Re: Koch, Harris and Wright... if you don't want them, then you can bet no one else does either. You want to make a deal? Offer them Buerhle, Garland and Magglio. Then you'd get a trade.

I dont even understand this trade at all. There is no way the Red Sox would do it, and there is no way I would want the White Sox to do it. YOu are taking away some strengths from the White Sox in that trade and not filling those holes, and putting mediocre players in other holes. I just dont understand where you even came up with this group of players to trade and get traded for, it makes no sense to me.

That's like trading a bike with a flat front tire for a bike with a flat rear tire.

Only a fool would think this is a good trade.

by now, someone probably posted this over on the red sox bulletin board, and they're having a field day laughing at us.
