Looking at the runs scored and runs allowed in the AL Central shows something that I think is a very good sign (so far here in April).

Team RS RA
Minnesota 105 91
Chicago Sox 85 68
Detroit 112 93
Cleveland 86 112
Kansas City 85 97

Although the Sox are tied for the LOWEST runs scored in the division, that have BY FAR given up the least amount of runs.

In fact, the have given up the third fewest in th entire AL behingd BAL and OAK.

That's awesome.

I love how the numbers start racking up so quick in baseball. Still a bit early to get real excited, but that does say some great things about our pitching, especially given that a large part of that sample is against the Yankees.

Based on RS/RA, should we not have been in the playoffs last year?

What is truly odd about that list is that KC and the Sox tied for the least amount of runs scored in their division AND their games against each other have been high-scoring.
