I was at the game tonight sitting behind homeplate and I noticed there was a disturbance at the top of the upper deck behind homeplate. I saw a couple huge punches land, and I want to know if anyone here knows exactly what went on. Plus, somehow I have a feeling that if this gets out, Moronotti will have a field day with it.

You make it sound like this is a rare occurance. Don't worry, it's nothing that no ones knows happens or surprises anyone. It won't become a big deal. Relax...we got a win.

honestly. the only way the media would cover it is if we were playing the cubs.

I saw that as well, but I was sitting in the club section and had a hard time making out what was going on. I dont care about hte media backlash, I dont think there will be any, but was anyone near the tussle? I am just curious what was going on since I really couldnt see it.

In the TV age, if it doesn't get on camera, it didn't happen.

I was just below the fight you're asking about and it was just White Sox fans taunting spankee fans(Yankees Suck was the taunt of choice last night) and a couple of guys went at it. It was'nt a big deal the only people I saw being escorted out were spankee fans so I guess they started it. Moronotti's an idiot and White Sox fans should'nt even care what he writes or thinks. The Sox could win the division, win the american league pennant & then the world series and if moron had the nerve to step into US Cell the only thing he'd report was something negative and how it would be wonderful if it was the scrubs. The pompass ass can take himself & his gay haircut and jump off the Sears tower !

GO WHITE SOX!

For God sakes...
1) Please let's not ever mention Moronotti's name on this board ever again.
2) Don't read anything the man writes.
3) Don't listen to 1 second of his radio show

If we all do this, sooner or later he'll go away.

Don't worry. Mariotti got his shots in at the Sox about other stuff in today's paper.

It was probably Yankee and Red Sox fans fighting with each other. My row last night consisted of my 4 buddies and myself rooting for the Sox, a bandwagon jumping Yankee fan cheering in the face of a bandwagon jumping Red Sox fan because he could see on the scoreboard that the Red Sox lost, and the Red Sox fan, to get even, cheering against the Yankess while not quite rooting for the White Sox. Oh, and the one Cub fan who didn't realize till about 9:30 that the big R next to their game on the scoreboard meant "rainout".

I totally agree, and I don't limit it to just sporting events. There seems to be some sort of "moron epidemic" that has been spreading for the past ten years or so in our society in general.

Apparantly nobody ever went to Chicago Stadium or the old Comiskey and other sporting events in the past. These things aren't new, they are just talked about more.

The Aloha's were in section 127 but we didn't know of any altercation in the UD. We were too busy heckling Jeter and Arod & just about all the spankees along with several others around us.

I told my (scrubfan)boss about the heckling last night and his reply was "the fans at Wrigley never do that"

if he wasn't my boss, I would have said, no they don't heckle the opposing team , they just threaten to kill other scrub fans like Bartman.

I'm know that it occurs all the time, and has occured many times in the past at almost every venue I go to. I just think it's a different time now and that every little bad thing that happens at Comiskey will be amplified to a ridiculous extent. I was joking with a friend of mine that the hot dog wrapper that was blowing on the field would be all over the WGN news at nine. The nonsense needs to stop.
