Lotsa people round here hate Hawk Harrelson.
Lotsa people round here hate DJ.
Lotsa people like one, but not the other.

What's your solution? Who should call Sox games on TV?

put rooney and farmer on t.v. they actually call the game and give good commentary. i'm sick of hearing of hawk's playing days and golfing. lately i've been turning down the t.v. and putting on the radio.

Dave Atell and Dave Chapelle.... I would listen to them hours after the game ended!

i like things the way they are, but it'd be cool if like say a old sox dropped by and gave his 2 cents everynow and then

LOL - Didn't they follow up that devastating combination with Jack Drees and Billy Pierce?

I think so. Wasn't that during the Allyn's breakthrough marketing
coup when they moved the games from channel 9 to channel 32
before anybody had a UHF TV set?

How about when Lorn Brown was teamed up on the radio with
Early Wynn? "Hee-yuk, he shoulda slud inta the base." :?:

I agree completely. For familiarity's sake, I'll say Rooney and DJ.

I agree that Fame-e-o has good color analysis, but his delivery is brutal. I have a hard time listening to him.

Personally, I love Hawk. DJ has improved, but still a little too dry. Ron Kittle or Bill Melton would both be an upgrade.

I'd say Pudge, but I think he is still speaking at his hall of fame induction ceremony. I don't know if he'll EVER finish his speech.

hawk and someone who could give more technical and statistical analysis of the game, not just broad philosophical crap. a steve stone type guy for the south side. but you can't lose hawk, a home run isn't a home run without a 'you can put it on the boaaard YES'

Harry and Jimmy, OK they're really not available any more (one's deceased and one will never be back while JR's around)

Next choice would be our favorites from Son-N-Roll

Bill Melton would not be bad in the booth

Leave it alone. Hawk and DJ are great. Their differences compliment each other and it's entertaining.
