Hello. Those of you who have read my profile know that I am a member of the US military and I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my experiences today.

I am a sergeant with the Ft. Stewart, Ga based 3rd Infantry Division. What happened here is that the post was totally shut down. No-one aside from Military personnel were allowed to enter the base. Our unit, as well as the entire military was placed on what in known as Threat Condition Delta ( You all may have heard about this from TV coverage ). This is measure which is taken when an imminent threat to US forces from direct or indirect means is detected. Measures were taken to secure all Division , Brigade , Batallion as well as company buildings and facilities and measures were taken to make contact with all soldiers in the Division.

As of right now there are no plans for any type of retaliatory action or deployment of troops, but we stand ready to do whatever is asked of us.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Some people at work and others I know of have children in the military. Several of them were immediately called up 2 hours after the bombing took place, told they were being sent to the "desert". Something's up.
