I just got home from school and saw the footage of the events that happened this morning. I share the thoughts of everyone that whoever is at fault must pay. But as I was channel flipping I stumbled upon Fox News Channel and they had video of the Palestine(sp?) people celebrating in the streets jumping up and down and honking their horns in their cars. It was disgusting to watch. If this has been brought up I apologize.

Well I don't want to turn this into a history discussion but wouldn't you consider the 2 situations different? Japan attacked us then we went after them. Dropping the nuclear bomb was trying to win a war, the events that happened today were not trying to win a war. I doubt that made much sense, history is not my strong strong point. So I will shut up now.

Why did Hitler come to power? Cuz the U.S. and the U.K. decided the best way to handle Germany after WWI was to complete punish them and dismantle their economy and basically let the entire nation die.
Is it any wonder a guy like Hitler who comes along and says, "Hey, you know why your children are starving? You know why you can't get any food? It's not your fault! **** the Yanks and the Brits! We can make this the strongest nation in the world!" Is it any wonder he became so popular?
I'm not defending what Hitler did by any stretch of the imagination, obviously. But to just say WWII was all HIS fault and we were the knights in shining armor who came and saved everyone is very superficial.
We could have prevented World War II in the 20's.... We just didn't.

You can't blame them for hating us. I mean, compared to the number of Americans who have died tradgically is minimal compared to the number of Arabs, Palestianians, and Iraqis that have died because or American arrogance.
I feel terrible for the families and victims of the WTC attack. Violence is completely wrong and leads to nowhere, but what comes around goes around.

I don't consider them different. You celebrate when you beat the enemies. They hate us as much as we hated the Japanese. No difference in my eyes, except this time we lost...

And the quickest way to do so is realize the faults of our own country and find ways to make this a better world for all, not just Americans.

Hey, smarty, that's what we've been trying to do for the past 15 years!....
We tried to protect citizen's of our allies and neutral countries who are being killed/terrorized...Macedonia, Kuwait, etc...
Now, after blaming our "arrogance", you say "we" should be trying to make the world a better place???? In your arguement, that's what got us into this in the first place....
Fighting/attacking an army/military, or political establishment is one thing, but to use civilians as the weapon, to kill thousands of innocent americans, just trying to go to work, is exactly cowardly, it is exactly dispicable, it is exactly an act of War, and it certainly will be punished. Attack military targets all you want, but you come here and attack the civilians and ideals of this country, and you will pay dearly.
Sorry, doublem, but your non-chalant, oh-well, we had it coming attitude is poorly placed and ill-tasted... You've already shown your colors with the everyone is racist and against anyone non-american comment in the Wheeler tragedy, so you can take your posts and shove them up your arse.
This country flourishes under the concept that we are safe, protected, and free. The reality of the daily lives of citizen's of this country has been changed in the microcosm of this event.

America? Try to make the world a better place? Are we in the same country? This country thrives on raping the third world for cheap labor. We like to believe that we are God's gift to Earth, but in reality, the U.S.A. is one of the biggest reasons the rest of the world struggles! Nothin' like a good ol' American brainwashing!

Yes, many innocent people died today! I'm am deeply sorry for that, but
A) to call us the "innocent victims" of an evil terrorist attack is completely false. As long as we do the things we do, we will ALWAYS be at risk from terrorists. What goes around comes around.
B) Today's death toll is NOTHING compared to how many innocent people have died because of United States backed U.N. sanctions, or even people who have died within the U.S.A. because they starve to death...
I am very sorry for the people who were killed and injured, and I will keep them in my prayers, but we will always be the top target for terrorists.

Man, you're so full of right wing propaganda, that you can't take a step back and look at the picture from the middle. If anyone is raping the 3rd world, it is corporations. The US has little to do with where companies make their products. If third world raping the cause of all of this, which it is most certainly not, Japan and Europe are equal targets.
The reason's for this attack are plain and simple. Aside from McVeigh's perverted notions, every other attack of Terrorism against the US in the past 20 years has been due to our support of Isreal. Sorry, their ourt allies, and we gave them a promise in the late 40's/early 50's and we stuck to it.
It's called values and strength, grow a dick.

I have been to that part of the world while working for mobil oil and i don't think most people realize the deep hatred that most muslims in the middle east have for the U.S.They are by no means finished. They feel that they have been at war with us for years, its only now that they have actually brought it home to us.We have been a major player in the rise and stability of israel, and we continue to do so(1 billion dollars). That makes us the deadly enemy of all muslims of the middle east. They have access to weapons of mass destuction(bio-chemical agents). Also russia reported a year ago that 100 suitcase nukes were "missing"(sold to who?).Let us not forget that we have over 1 million people in prisons in this country & the majority of them are african-americans that are quickly turning to the muslim religion. This will only get worse.Israel & jordan or syria will go to full scale war and we will eventually be compelled to take sides(are we not at war with arab muslims already?).This will get out of hand and we'll be lucky to live thru it.Personally,i've been to war(long ago) but i'm ready anytime.I have arab friends, but i will NEVER look at them in the same way.
