Any word yet on how serious Frank's injury is?

He was walking albeit limpy. I'm no doctor but I'd say day-to-day.

They just said on the wrap-up show on WMVP that he'd be evaluated tomorrow.

Maybe this'll shut him up about the contract?

Luckily they have the off day, I'd expect him back soon.

If it's anything like Drew or Chipper's hamstring injuries, I guess we can expect him to miss a few games.

I watched him round first (I was at the Trop.) and it looked kinda bad. He started limping right away. Looked like a hamstring.

If it is serious enough for them to consider a stay on the DL, what is the minimum amount of time for that?

15 days.

The only reason the Sox would do that is if they thought there was a need to open up a roster spot, and call someone up. Since we can rotate any number of players to the DH spot, that won't be necessary.

I doubt he will go on the DL. I am sure Gload, Uribe, Timo will DH or something..

If Wunsch is coming off the DL, that would require some sort of decision. Now, including an extra pitcher at this time might not make sense, since our starters (all of them including Danny Wright) are going pretty far into games.

I agree that they wouldn't want to take Frank out. His average is starting to creep up, and the number of walks is near the top in the league. But you also wouldn't want to take too much of a chance of him getting injured for a longer period.

Whats with all these guys having injuries which could be prevented by better conditioning? Lay off the weights and stretch.

He can deal with a hammy. It's not like he'll lose speed on the bases.
