Alright, who said Danny Wright? How can you say Wright when he had 14 wins a few seasons ago....What did Ritchie do besides suck?

most of danny's 14 wins came in the 2nd half of the season when the sox were doing awesome because they were out of contention. It's not that danny pitched well, it's that the sox were scoring a boatload of runs and danny got the wins.

Sure, but at least he didn't LOSE the games when the sox had a ton of rounds like some other people.

I hate Wright as much as anyone else on this board, but I'm shocked that somebody actually picked him over Ritchie.

Wright is a #5 starter. He's expected to suck and our only hope with him is that we can somehow cling on to games he pitches. Ritchie was our #2.

Danny did pitch well down the stretch in '02. In his last 7 starts, he went 6-1, with a 3.14 era. Run support or not, Danny Wright was kickin' some ass.

Oh yeah..I remember that now. He gave me a false sense of hope going into the 2003 season before he got injured because he pitched so well at the end of 2002. :(:

with wright, you can have a shred of hope that he might pitch well. however with ritchie, you knew he was going to pitch awfully and the sox were going to lose.

They both suck but Ritchie is much worse. The guy can't even crack Milwaukee's $30 million team or get higher than their AA system.

Ritchie was a good pitcher. Then he came here and sucked. That SOB.
