In case you missed this on ESPN Classic recently.....

In 1974 NFL Films (of all people) did a one hour documentary on some Phillies pitching prospects called Bush Leagues To Bright Lights. It's narrated by 'the voice of God...' John Facenda.

Anyway it profiles some of the top Phillie prospects and goes through a season with them at the different leagues. During the show (which was on ESPN Classic Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon) they devote 2 1/2 minutes of footage on one pitcher throwing against the White Sox in late March 1974 in Sarasota. (I looked it up...)

It was great to see the Sox in their sleek white with red pinstripe uniforms. They showed Carlos May, Jorge Orta, Ken Henderson, Pat Kelly, Bill Melton (hitting a home run over then Phils left fielder Greg Luzinski) and yes good ole #10 himself.....RON SANTO!

I recommend viewing it the next time they show it. I taped it myself for the Sox footage for my files.

I saw this a couple years ago and it was very good.
