Man, what a crazy game! Too bad it had to come down to the ninth but we got it done. This is a game we would have lost last year, but Ozzie won't let these guys give up. The way some of these first few games have gone, it looks like a season of winning some ugly games.

This team reminds me of the Cubs towards the end of the season last year, with a little better bats... But one of the worst Bull pens EVER! This should be an interesting season

id rather call us the South Side Hitmen--04 style.....our bats are HOTT!!

That 9th inning was insanity at its worst. I can't follow this team if every freakin game is going to be a nightmare like this. Koch sucks! It's over! Get rid of him!

"But I rule."

"You rule nothing! Go away!"

The Royals were playing like we were in 2000.

Their only problem is that we were too.

I'll take a win any way we can! This team has heart.

Ugly is right. If Randa hadn't lollygagged on a couple grouders, KC would have won.

I just hope this shuts up Ozzie about the "we could easily be 7-1" stuff. We could have lost today as easily as we could've won on Opening Day. Fact is, we lost on Opening Day, and we won today, and now we're 5-3. We're no better than our record.

ill second that. just think...who knows how many games out the 2nd place team will be come the end of '04. last year, we were only out 4 games...so ill take this win, even if it was ugly!

Say what you want, but there's no way in heck we'd have won that game in '03 (or for the last 3 years). Something definately needs to be done about the pen, however, and hopefully if things remain encouraging we can count on upper management to full some holes in a few months.
