Can the weather be blamed? Or is it going to be nice in Chicago tomorrow?

It's suppose to be a high of 6o degrees and sunny. I don't expect 38,000, but I would like to think around $30,000. Realistically, knowing Sox fans, only 15,000 will show up.

How about the fact that its another day game. Most people can take off work/school for one day, but not two in a row.

your right about that.
but i figured going tommorow is better its warmer less crowded, i hate fighting opening day crowds.
i bought my ticket last week first row left ctr filed.
people should consider doing what i did go the 2nd n 3rd games

Wish I could go, but that be quite a haul from up here. I say 15-20K which is sad. I understand its a day game, but it wouldnt sell out if it was a night game. This is the foremost reason why the cubs get more media attention, both locally and nationally.

Has Lee Elia taught you all anything??? Sox fans work and go to school. Comiskey isn't a playground for the ********ers!!!

Seriously though, you can't expect much during day games. People have lives outside of baseball. Or in Cub fans case, lives outside of ivy and bars.

That's a bad excuse since you're assuming that a large portion of fans who went to today's game would also be the SAME Sox fans attending tomorrow's game. Unless our entire fanbase is down to about 40,000+ (which of course isn't out of the realm of possibility), then this should not play a major role.

Metro section in the paper says high of 64, but that's not exactly the lakefront temp. The Sox so far haven't done anything to deserve non-attendance as far as their play (assuming they've made up for the April 5 disaster by now.....today's crowd atmosphere would seem to suggest that) So the cold and the fact that it's a day game are the only reasons that can possibly keep the fans away. It didn't stop them today, but then again, it was the opener....I will predict 15,000 and then bring it up to 15,004 to include myself and the three other people coming with me.

There's obviously some very good seats still available for tomorrow. But for comparison's sake, I also went to check tickets for tomorrow's Cub game and there's still some good, non-upper deck tickets available there as well. That surprised me a little...

The fact is opening day is a big event so it's gonna be full. And the rest of April is cold as hell. Once it warms up we'll be at the very least up to the usual 24,000. It also depends on how good we're doing and how people respond to the renovations.

I'd be very surprised if there's more than 14,000.

Now if it was a 7:05 start there may have been a bigger showing. A Day game is fine for the opener but after that there will be a very small crowd. I can't imagine the pre-sale is very high at all.

I would be absolutely shocked if they drew more than 15,000. I'm going with 13,013 in honor of Ozzie.

About 15K. Second game of the season, especially afternoon, is almost always a small crowd. This goes for more teams than the Sox.

If they say that more than 10,000 showed up they are full of crap. Very pathetic crowd size. Looks like montreal. On the plus side, the park looks great
