I wonder if there ever would be room for him and Jerry to reconcile and for him to take some role in this organization again? I know we already have enough inexperienced guys on the bench, but there has to be a spot for Fisk somewhere, if he were interested.

I wonder if Ozzie and Pudge were close. If so, maybe Ozzie can make it happen?

There was speculation that fisk was going to be bench coach. He said that he did not know if he wanted to be a major role in any orginization yet. I don't think he wants to travel like he would have to. I don't think there are hard feelings holding anything back. JR has brought him back and has asked him back to the park for varius things. Oz was an outcast at one time as well. Time must heal all things sox oriented.

They annonced it as "Coming back to wish his old teammate luck, Number 72, Carlton Fisk! And as an old fan of the Big Red Machine, it was great to see Dave Concepcion don the Sox hat in honor of Ozzie, who said he wore #13 because of Concepcion.

Fisk wore a brown sport-coat, and a goat-t to go with it. It was awsome to see him there, the crowd went nuts when he was announced!

The area he lives in was recently incorporated, I think. It's now called Homer Glen.

It was great to see Fisk come out! It almost brought a tear to my eye when he came out with the Sox hat on. It was a total surprise since there was some awkwardness between him and the Sox before. I guess whatever problems they've had is over. Plus, I guess he likes Ozzie so much that he copied his goatee.

Not interested in baseball, or in the Sox?

It definitely brought a tear to MY eyes. I wouldnl't say the problems he has with JR & Co. are over - he did this for Ozzie. It was a great jesture and wonderful suprise for all in attendence. I couldn't cheer any louder. Unfortunately, driving home after the game, the doofs on ESPN radio ripped Fisk apart, calling him a horrible, selfish leader. Made me want to puke.

I thought it was extremely touching. Just when he and ozzie hugged eachother a couple times out there, and the roar of the crowd when he came out on the field, it was electric, a wonderful suprise. It was great to see him. :)

Neither at this point. And not the Sox unless someone else owns them.
