Losing 4-1, bottom of the seventh. Three unearned runs for Huntsville.

Valentin had nothing to do with it.

Did anyone see the Boxscore from last night? Ulacia pitched a gem. Complete game, no earned runs. There has to be a point where can trade some of this young talent to fill some holes.

who the h**l is responsible for fundamentals in this organization?
Obviously, paying attention to fundamentals doesn't make big bucks for any individual, so it's ignored. But attention to detail, to fundamentals, is what makes a championship organization. Failure to do so makes a mediocre organization. A classic corporate problem.
It's time to incentivize fundamentals somehow. The right statisitcal combo would work, but none has really been validated. At salary renegotiation time, all kinds of unvalidated statistics get brought up.
The best organizations seem to know how to do it---the Braves, the Yankees, the A's, the Mariners--but clearly this Sox outfit doesn't have a clue--just liek the Bears, the Blackhawks, etc., etc.

Let's hire Tom Emanski, he'll give us his videos and Fred McGriff's endorsement.
