Amen.
But Clemens is still a stud, especially when umps give him close calls on 3-2 pitches.

There are 162 games in the regular season.
11 in an undefeated playoff run.
That makes 173 total - and the Cubune and Cub-Times seem to be predicting a 173-0 season for the Unbeatable Cubs, with the Perfect Rotation, and the Lineup Without Holes, managed by The Great Dusty Baker, Who Though He Has Never Won A World Series, Surely Will This Season and Forevermore.
174? That, I don't know about. Someone must be remembering the days when Round 1 was a best-of-7, not the current best-of-5.

yikes - i didn't even pay attention to who said "174" first (plus, i didn't even quote anyone in my response...). I was just pointing out that you couldn't have 174 games in a "perfect" season.
that is, unless you played a one-game tiebreaker to determine playoff spots.
But then, the other team would also have to be 162-0, which would be impossible, since all teams in a given league play against each other at least 6 times.
anyway, please accept my apologies for the unintended offense.
