Mauer lifted for a pinch runner in the 3rd, mild left knee sprain, listed as day-to-day.

Santana left in the 5th with left forearm spasms.

Just thought you'd be interested... :(:

not only that, but did anyone else notice that jaque jones hasnt had a hit yet this year. hes 0 for 6 or 7. I know its early, but can he be the next PK of 2003? I sure hope so...

I was at the game last night, and he was swinging at everything. 4 K's. It was fugly.

Don't worry. He will be fine by May 20th, when we first play. He might hit for the cycle...

I hope we're playing before that. I've got tickets for the game on 5/16. :D:

There's a theory that 6'4 catchers like Mauer are too tall to survive the rigours of crouching constantly. The best to date is probably Alomar and he has about 18 knee surgeries to boot.

Sign: Manute Bol, Eddie Gaedel as catchers to test this theory!

He hit a homer to send the game to extra innings... some teams know how to rally, don't they?

Injury update: add Torii Hunter to the list, pulled hammy...

It's in the 13th inning now - man I love that baseball is back and I have directv! What did I do with myself before??

Cant get the twins games on TV here. They have a new team owned station that wont come to an agreement with any of the local cable or dish operators. Fing pohlad. I hate the twins, but I still want to be able to watch games. Now i have to settle for the bravos

It is a theory, one of the reason why it has been rumored that if Joe can hit at the major league level he would be moved to first.

I'm guessing that none of us wants to know.

Thank the Lord for the night time.

Just as crazy as that theory that says if a pitcher throws a lot of pitches until he becomes fatigued and is left in the game he will put stress on his arm increasing the chances of injuruy, huh.
