Good - skew the poll, and maybe the Sox coverage in the Trib might improve.

(Obv it'll never get anything like as positive as the coverage of their Corporate subsidiary on the Northside)

Or perhaps they'll dump the Cubs, and buy the Sox from JR et al.

Would that be a Good Thing, or a Bad Thing?

it's probably because the tribune held all the opening day tickets to scalp through their own service, and no one is willing to pay the ridiculous price to see the cubs play the aa pirates

Did I miss something? Did JR finally "tear down the ball mall and finance a new, state-of-the-art stadium in the south loop"? Cause that would be the only explanation.

I think they use a IP system (they store your IP after you vote), so cheating would require quite a bit of effort.

South Siders are better at stuffing ballot boxes than North Siders

Could it be because that poll is only posted on the White Sox section of Chicagosports.com?

On the Cubs page, the poll asks whether the cubs will win 100 games. Gag.

It was at one point of the day on the home page for chicagosports.com

Were not going to get a stadium in the south loop so let it go the sox our on 35th st. where they have always been, stop listening to Mariotti.

I have no problem with Comiskey where it is, the spot has history and there is nothing wrong at all with the neighborhood around it. The only flaw isn't the location but the rotation of the stadium, centerfield should be the northeast corner so you can get a good view of downtown for the majority of the park, that would be great, I still don't understand how they failed to plan this when the built it, its one of the best assets of a park in an urban area and has always been one of my favorite aesthetic features of Soldier Field.

That was kinda the joke. You recognize that Mariotti always says that. That's why it was in quotes.
