It's actually a pretty tough question.

Shingo can get the boot early. So can Willie Harris, although that is unlikely. Mike Jackson can be released. Jon Adkins is also a canidate. Burke?

I will go with Mike Jackson. He is going to get roughed up one to many times, and get released.

Just to be different, I'll take Takatsu.

I'll say Neal Cotts. Wunsch comes back and they realize that Cotts isn't getting enough pitching time here and decide to send him down so he can get some consistent pitching time.

It's Opening Day, how about letting the first day play out before we start releasing people.

My guess is Maggs, Buehrle or Frank...

No kidding. Enough of the negativity already. Well, until they actually lose a game.... :D:

I am not being negative...It's inevitable. There are a lot of players that it can happen to.

Agreed. I don't see this as being negative. It's just another prediction thread to view as we count down this next hour and 15 minutes. It's not like we are saying who should be sent down or released, we're just making predictions on who will get cut or sent down.

Harris was the first player that popped into my head but the problem there is we don't have any adequate replacements. It annoys me that we once had depth at second base with Harris, Hummel and Jimenez. One of them just had to be successful right? And now we only have one of them and its the one I think the least of. Anyway Harris can't go because Uribe isn't a legit second baseman either.

My guess is Neal Cotts. Cotts hasn't yet shown the control needed to pitch in the majors.

So that all but makes it a pitcher.
Either Cotts, Mr. Zero, or Schow.

Decisions, decisions, ...
Cotts

My first choice is Jackson. He is only on the team because Wunch is hurt.

Jon Adkins will be the first player sent down after allowing 18 hits in 9 IP, walking 5 and striking out zero.

It's not negativity because as soon as Wunsch comes off the DL, there must be a roster change. I'll agree with Mike Jackson being sent to Charlotte. We'll need to keep Cotts around to spell Schoenweis after he goes 2 1/3...

Mike Jackson could very well be a better option than Billy Koch, I am afraid.

Mike Jackson for two reasons:

1. I dont know who he is.

2. Wunsch will take his spot when he comes back.

It would definitely not be Shingo because of how bad a PR move that would be (regardless of his playing). It's like saying, "here's our most hyped acquisition over the offseason--and he's not even good enough to make the major league club!" Add the uproar in the Japanese community you may get from that, and things don't look so good.

My guess is Jon Adkins.
