I was at today's Northwestern baseball game versus Indiana in Evanston. Wearing an NU cap and my White Sox warmup jacket to the game at Rocky Miller Park, I sat in the front row right by the 'Cats third base dugout. NU head coach Paul Stevens (http://nusports.ocsn.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/stevens_paul00.html) saw me and said to assistant coach Ron Klein "That person with the White Sox jacket and Northwestern cap is someone who really knows baseball." Even though Stevens played for the Royals (1976-78) and the Athletics (1978-80), the Oak Lawn resident is evidently a White Sox fan based upon this observation. I do not know if Klein is a Cub fan, but I got the impression Stevens was doing a little trash talking.

Unfortunately for Coach Stevens and the 'Cats, they lost (http://nusports.ocsn.com/sports/m-basebl/recaps/040404aaa.html) to the Hoosiers 3-1. NU freshman pitcher George Kontos was a little wild and seemed to come unglued in adverse situations. The 'Cats didn't have very situational hitting today either. Northwestern fell to 11-11-1 (2-2 Big Ten).
