Why? He's been pretty good this season and gives this bullpen a grizzled veteran. Adkins did a nice job in ST, but has yet to wow me in his trials with the big club.

On a side note, Rooney just bashed Colorado for not using a legitimate lineup. The Sox, outside of Perez starting in CF, have their everyday lineup in the game.

I was just being a big jerk. He's done alright actually. As long as that grizzled vet keeps getting outs, he's ok in my book. When that stops, I don't care if he has 100 years of experience, he's gots to go.

Assuming he keeps stealing at a 50% clip, it will negate any realistic .333 OBP that he will have. What's the use of getting on base, trying to steal and getting thrown out 1/2 the time?

HUH? If you're trying to say that they get 2 or 3 points for every shot they make, I accounted for that. They put the ball through the hoop 40+ times a game which adds up to 80-100 points (depending on foul shots and 3-pointers). In soccer, they only put the ball in the goal a couple of times a game...

goaltending is illegal in b-ball, whereas it's highly encouraged in soccer. Those goalies are absolutely amazing. Comparing soccer to hockey, you have far less shots on goal, but often times a comparable score. That's due to the goalie. The lack of SOG is due to the fact that it is much more difficult to get a legitimate shot on goal, so often times teams won't take it, waiting for a better opportunity. What a lot of people don't realize is that a typical high school line would be 4 defense, 3 mids, 3 forwards, whereas a high-level line-up would be more like 4 defense, 5 mids, and 1 forward. Lot more defensively-oriented line-up.
