I think I'm going out on a big limb with Baltimore and San Diego. I just like the teams they're building and the NL West looks like the worst division in baseball, I think a young team like the Padres could be the Marlins of 04. The Yankees are an injury or two away from falling apart and I like the O's to take the wild card. I think if Seattle stumbles, Melvin could find himself replaced quickly.

As for the beloved White Sox, its going to go down to the wire with Cleveland. I have never seen a team so ready to inspire hatred as the Indians are, this could be a fun rivalry for the next few seasons at least.

AL East

1. Blue Jays...Lotsa offense, lotsa pitching

2. Yankees...The best 2nd place team money can buy

3. Red Sox...Counting on career years 2 years in a row is unwise

4. Orioles...Serious pitching issues here

5. Devil Rays...Yeah, they're better. Who cares?

AL Central

1. White Sox...I'm biased, but Burly Mon will dominate, Frank, Mags and Caballo could all finish in top 10 of MVP voting

2. Twins...Lost too much pitching, will contend to the end

3. Royals...Dude, where's my starting rotation?

4. Indians...One year away...from .500

5. Tiggers...even if they improve 19 games, they still lose 100

AL West

1. Angels...Best manager in the game has weapons

2. A's...Pitching ensures the wild card

3. Mariners...Not quite enough, but still quite good

4. Rangers...Worst team in the AL, the West will feast on 'em

ALDS = Angels over White Sox, A's over Blue Jays

ALCS = Angels over A's

NL East

1. Phillies...Will survive a dogfight

2. Braves...Finally, not in first, not in the playoffs

3. Marlins...Lost too much, but will still contend

4. Mets...Some nice pieces, but no chance in this division

5. Expos...I wish Phish was touring as much as they will

NL Central

1. Cubs...First place, yet Wrigley still smells like a urinal

2. Astros...Wild card winners

3. Cardinals...Bet the over

4. Brewers...Surprise, surprise, surprise

5. Pirates...Who they gonna trade to the Cubs this year?

6. Reds...Maybe Marge Schott's ghost could pitch for them

NL West

1. Padres...More balance than any team in the NL West

2. Giants...Never count this team out

3. Dodgers...Lifeless, going through the motions

4. Diamondbacks...Could contend, could suck

5. Rockies...Rocky Mountain low

NLDS = Cubs over Padres, Astros over Phillies

NLCS = Cubs over Astros

World Series = Angels over Cubs...Scioscia outmanages Baker once more.
