Mike Kiley continues his Praising and ButtKissing of the cubs organization, this time praising Hendry for his trade of Baby Pedro, and what the new pitcher means for the flubbys.
He ends his "column" by saying the "the future is now" in a
thinly veiled reference to their playoff hopes. The sox lost
ground big time again today and the Cubs OFFICIALLY have
a 100 story lead on the SOX. Pathetic

Chicago Cubune:
5 cub stories
2 sox stories

CHicago CubTimes:
2 cub stories
1 sox stories

CUBS 237
SOX 135

Hangar - have you been counting all offseason? Just curious cause that gap is amazing.

Did you count the "stories" in the Red Eye about top 10 things every Sox fan (there's also one for Cubs) should do?

Only since Spring Training Began. Thats the AMAZING part.
The CHicago Media has gone HOG WILD reporting anything and everything Cub, from the mundane to the trivial.

Question: do those numbers include the "Sox notes" and "Cubs notes" sections?

Hangar,

Have you been forwarding this on to the other local news organizations?

I would suspect that if your list could get coverage in the local media it might force the Trib and the SunTimes to try and be more balanced.

Imagine if AM 1000 or somebody ere reporting on your list every day. It would give the papers a black eye, and eventually they'd have to acknowledge it.

I don't know if you've done this, but if not, I'd urge you to e-mail daily updates of your list to all local media, INCLUDING the Sun-Times and the Tribune.

Thanks for following this for us. All the best.

Mostly No. only if its significant in that it has its own "Title".

Have at it man. would sound better if this came from you ....
"Dear Cub-Loving Newspaper: I notice your paper has given 100 extra stories to the cubs in barely 1 month of keeping track, and was wondering why that is? Do you realize the more you publish them ..................blah blah blah"

Did you notice the caption under the new player's picture. It said "Stikeout King." That's funny, I never even heard of this guy.
