I was just wondering how many games everyone is planning on attending this year? How many of you are partial/full season ticket holders? If so where are your seats? Where is you favorite place to sit in the park?

I plan on going to around 45-50 games this year. I have the split season plan. My tickets are in section 158 row 10 (right across form Hangar), right behind the Sox bull pen. My favorite place to sit is anywhere in the lower deck.

I plan on attending 2 minimum. Opening day and another game in April/May using my "free" tickets from Soxfest.

If I can get Cubs/Sox tickets, I'll probably go one of those games also.

Possibly later in the year I'll try to do one "El series" where I see the Sox play during the day and the Cubs that night, or vice versa.

IIRC, my seats for opening day are in section 159. I posted it once before on here.

I really don't have a favorite place to sit. Most of the time I like to sit down the third or first base line. The outfield is OK and I can live with the UD.

No less than 3, I know that...

I would say probably 4 or 5, the usual.

I'll be going to about 18-20 games that I know of. I bought two Starting 9 packages plus I have tickets for a couple of games from my SoxFest coupons.

It depends how good they are.

If they suck, I'll probably only go to one.

If they're contending all year I'll go 6-12 times. Once a month minimum. That's about as good as I can do now. When I'm older I'll get that split season plan.

And I should be right by you and Hangar because I always sit in behind the bullpen. Look for the guy smoking in the seats.

I'll probably go to around 30-35 games this year.

I get 27 from my season ticket package, which is in section 531, row 4. I used to be in section 161 in the bleachers, 6th row. I wanted to get tickets behind the plate in the new upperdeck, and my ticket rep didn't disappoint me. I am directory behind the plate, 4th row.

After my 27 games, I will probably sneak a few individual tickets as well.

My favorite place to sit has to be lower deck VIP section right near homeplate. How can anyone not consider those the absolute best?

27 from my season ticket package and probably at least 20 more weeknights...plus I'll be catching them at Camden Yards in May.

At least a dozen.

Before I left Illinois, I went to about 25. I don't know if I'll do that still, with the longer commute from North side home, but I will go to plenty. It doesn't necessarily depend how good they are, but how interesting they are to watch.

9 from my package, probably 15-20 more.

Roughly 10 games, and I like to mix up where I site. I absolutly love the Club Level, but since they jacked the price up to 40 a pop, the frequency of sitting there has dropped. Last year I saw the Sox vs. Twins in the bleachers, first time in years since I've had that point-of-view.

IF I can get out of Richmond in time, my 27 game package + 5-10 more. And a few more in the post season... :D:

I love sitting in the outfield. It sucks if you sit in right though, you can't see the scoreboard because of the Fan Deck.

By the way, I would like to take this chance to praise the 9-game package - every game, including opening day and the Cubs games - in sections 160 or 161 with no worse than a 9th row seat. Awesome.

i'll go to as many games as i can get free tickets to. Last year, i think i went to about 15 games and most of the tickets were half price or free. the best place to sit is behind home plate, but if the crowd is large and rowdy, the best place to sit is the bleachers.

10+ games. Getting married in Sept, if not I would be going to a lot more.

Buying season tickets next year for sure!

Well at least nine that I know of. I got my starting nine tickets today! :)

But I plan to buy tickets to three more games and we'll see what happens after that.

I went to 27 games last year. Right now I know I'm going to 12 games.

Unfortunately no. I think 5th row was the best for any of them.

My group has 8 seats together (Section 161, Row 2) for a split season package.

Last year I made it to 37 (25 of my split season games, 10 other home games and 2 at the Slum on the Northside for the Flubs-Sox series).

See you on Opening Day!

A lot.. I have no idea for sure.

And I just got 95% confirmation that we're going to the AS Game, again this year - my life is so rough.... :whiner: ... :D:.

Got rid of my split season package. So instead of 30 + maybe 5-10. The number keeps going down the longer I wait for my deposit back. I only told them before Soxfest that I wasn't renewing my package. They "Can't figure out why I haven't got my check" I'm dealing with a bunch rocket scientists

I got my Starting 9 package and will probably catch about another five games, mostly Sundays.

Skotty, maybe you and Hangar saw me before when I had weekend seats in old section 159, now 158. I was the guy who ran the occasional attendance pool. I still manage to sneak down every so often to hang with my old buds there and run a pool once in awhile.

I have split seasons tickets and will attend all of those plus opening day, the cubs game not in my package, and other games beyond that.

Not too shabby considering USCF is 205 miles from my place, one way.

oh, and I am Section 534, row 5 - I am right behind home plate, very sweet seats in the UD - even when the UD is filled I can get to the john/concession stand between innings and never miss a pitch

30 games in section 144 + 1 game at the Urinal + 3 games in Montreal = 34 games.

There'll probably be a few walk-up games tossed in there too.

If gas prices keep going up, I'm going to have to move to Bridgeport sooner than I planned.

I'll probably go to about 35 games, like I have the past 2 years. 27 in my partial season ticket plan, plus about 5 half price nights, plus another 3 games when I have absolutely nothing to do.

I am sad to say as of right now, one. Boston in August. Maybe one or two more depending if they are in the thick of things. I'd like to go to a Tampa Bay game to try and get Sweet Lous autograph.

I'll be "starting" with 9 games. I go to those with my dad. We did the 27 game package last year, but scaled back this year because my first child was born a few months ago, and it may be tough to get out to that many games this year.

I'll probably throw in a few extra games to take the wife and hopefully get my son out to his first game, even though he won't know what's going on. Got to start him off early! (He already has some little Sox jerseys hats ready to go.) Official prediction would be 12-15 games.

OK............Now I remember you, right on man. "The Bills" didnt Re-up for the season tickets this year, they were both Pretty Upset at Jerry Reinsdorfs Fiscal Plan for 2004 and were Outraged enough to not Re-Up again. Thats too bad, those 2 were a blast to hang with (hung out in LA with them last yr)
and they Routinely got the ENTIRE section 158 and 159 all riled up........True Fans man, hardcore, Dedicated enough to travel and see the team, total BLAST those guys.....will Miss Them there
Those guys knew their baseball too. THESE ARE THE KINDS OF FANS YOU DONT WANT TO PISS OFF

add in a few more if like last year they are in the playoff race come September. 75% of the time there free company tix 20 rows back a little past third which helps me to get to so many games. It's a great time but it can get costly paying for mutliple games a week. I got 5th row upper deck for the Sox/Cubs but prefer the the lower deck. I've only been to the club level a couple times but that's pretty nice.

CubKilla
03-26-2004, 10:36 AM
A season ticket holder is getting me tix to Opening Day. Don't have to pay for them and won't pay for anything in the BallPark once inside. My White Sox expenses will then be non-existent until at least June/July...... depending on where the White Sox are in the standings.

I just cannot keep handing over money to an owner who has left a team with no 4th or 5th starter, no 2B (arguably), and no CF (arguably). Additionally, I cannot keep forking over money to an Organization that kept Manuel for 2 seasons too long (IMO) then, after he's fired and Ozzie's hired, creates a whole ad campaign that seems to imply that the majority of the fans were right..... that Manuel WAS NOT the man for the White Sox job..... but JR and Co. did nothing about it.

I second that. I won't be going to any games unless the front office attitude changes. I won't hold my breath for that to happen.

While I agree that the front office has a long way to go - don't they seem to be making themselves a little more visible than in years past? I don't know if that's a good thing or not - but at least it's different.

25 games - more or less.

I hate ownership just as much as the next guy, but I love watching our White Sox more than anything else on the face of this earth (besides ice cold cans of Budweiser). So I'll keep paying whatever they ask me too as long as they keep offering it.
