Josh Hamilton was suspended for 2004 for violating baseball's drud policy. He received a 30 day suspension in February. He isn't eligible to return until next spring training.

It was reported in the Trub today.

Just so I understand the situation, Hamilton took a drug test last spring and failed. He took antoher one this winter and received a 30 day suspension. After that he took yet another one and failed and is suspended for the year.

Is this pretty much what happened? Were all MLB players tested again this year or just those that failed last year?

How stupid are you to get caught doing the same thing 3 times knowing you had theses tests coming up?

I wonder what drug he got caught using? Pot? Crack? Coke? PCP? Any other Uppers? Or was it the one drug that is being tested for right now?

I'm not positive, but I don't think steriods or pot are on the list to be suspended. Was Hamilton on their 40 man roster? If he was, he would not have been subjected to the minor league random steriod testing.
