Alrighty!! Let's make sure we keep them coming today. Some of us are chained to our desks out in the middle of nowhere and can't follow along via ESPN 1000 or an internet stream.

looks like a good complement of regulars on both sides, should be a pretty good test for grilli.

Fassero is NOT a starter. A 40 year old reliever journeyman should not even be considered in the thin air of Colorado. Is he a strong bet to make their rotation?

fledgedrallycap

There was no controversey, it was a foul ball.

It made a left turn in front of the left field foul pole, but when it left Paulie's bat John & Farmio were gearing up the call for a homer.

Definitely, Olivo stepping it up a notch would be great in that he can turn things over to the top of the order more and get big frank, maggs and carlos more RBI chances.

Very Nice...Send that one to Ozzie. He just might do it!

BTW - wouldn't it be nice if Gload and Garland had great seasons to take us to the playoffs. Somehow we beat the Yankees to go to the WS and in game 6 Gload hits the game winner to give Garland the series win! 2 Ex-Cubs hitting them right in their old Curse...

I'd say some garbage shortstop gave up 2. He's responsible for 3 of our runs given up today. I'm tired of these crappy minor leaguers. I hope they are sent down soon. With our regulars in there we have played great this spring. DOesn't look like it because there are POS players like Lopez in there blowing it.

Nah, he induced about 5 ground balls, a couple on first pitch. IF it weren't for the big boot at short, it would have been a short inning...

Hey, Jose's gotten ALOT better at short over the last couple years. Even so, he doesn't tend to boot balls so much as losing popups or throwing wild ones to first... He's been doing pretty well on the field so far. Also, I've seen him, on more than one occaison, come up to bat next inning and crank one over the fence to make up for his error. Not so today....

By my count this is the 4th game the Sox have blown this spring in the late innings...starting next week you'll see the regulars in the game longer.

Also the Sox made 6 cuts after the game, it's on their 'official' web site.

Very well said.

I only use ST to evaluate performance of either guys I have never seen before - or those coming off of injuries. And at that - even slightly. For normal, healthy veterans, it is not a good indicator.
