Number 84 for the White Sox is Brandon Bounds. Bounds was drafted by the Sox in the year 2000 draft. He was drafted as a right fielder. Last year he played at Great Falls, batting .326. He's gotten into several ST games.

He is not a candidate for the roster. He probably was performing well in minor league camp so they rewarded him by coming up for a few games. If he was drafted in 2000 and was playing at Great Falls last year, he must not be much of a prospect.

Bounds was drafted in the 32nd round out of High School, he'll turn 23 before the year's out. So far this spring there's been quite a few Rookie ball players appearing in the Sox games: Brian Anderson, Ricardo Nanita, Ryan Sweeney, Melvin Perez, Chris Kelly,...

All likely to be duds and wearing another uniform by the year 2006 or superstars and with the Yankees by 2008. :)
