AL Central is turning Japanese?

The Twins are in the market for a starting pitcher, and will talk about Jacque Jones. That began some Jones-Kazuhisa Ishii rumors, which would force the Dodgers to take on $1.9 million this season.

I'm not sure what to think of this. Would you guys rather deal with Jacque Jones for 19 games, or Ishii for 4? There's no end of ways to make fun of Ishii's name.

I can see the headline now... "Twins make a stink with Ishii-Jacque trade." :D:

That and the fact that Jones wouldn't be helping their club out anymore makes me kind of hope the deal does go down. It would be one more player gone that was considered part of the grinder core that has helped make them play as well as they have. Losing Jones would damper some of the Twins spirits further, as he is not only a good player, but a good club house guy as well- Hunter's best friend on the team.

Yes Mr. Pohland, it would have the dual benefits of being ever-so-cheap for you and deleterious for the chances of the Twins.
