Another Dark Day for White Sox/Baseball Journalism. As the National Media "reacts" to this non-story, Today Show broadcasting Live and other NonSense, and as the Chicago Media Irresponsibly Continues going Hog-Pee-our-pants-Kiley-Wild over this ball nonsense (airing in over 50 countries!)
in the name of "charity", The SOX took yet another dramatic step backward in getting coverage. We did break the 30 Story mark for Spring Training News since last Thursday in spite of it all

Chicago Cubune:
13 cub stories (only 3 stories were about the actual cub team)
3 sox stories

Chicago Cub-Times:
7 cub stories (again, only 2 stories actually about the cubs)
2 sox stories

Standings as of 2/26/04, something I predicted would happen
if the cubs ever started getting successful. Media would go
Hog Wild. They hold a 60 Story Lead on the SOX, and the Biggest Lead theyve EVER had this early. And were only 1 WEEK
into spring training. Who said Chicago Media was not biased?

Nothing anybody here does will ever change anything, we're a very very small minority. Look at it this way - if a company supports the Cubs, they might get thousands of people to like them, and at most a few hundred boycotts or letters. Do you think they would care?

I hope the disparity will mellow some after the whiners get rid of the stupid scapegoat ball.

Is it funny that the Cubs scapegoat used to be an actual goat?

Is it weird that they're called the White Sox, but they wear black sox?

The original team wore white stockings, hence the nickname. The undersocks are still white, but the stirrups are black.

What I find most Disturbing during the first phase of the Medias
Cubtacular display of SHOCK & AWE, is that the fuzzy blue team
will break the Century mark in stories written about them. And it only took a WEEK!!! can you believe that? It took the sox Months to get to 100 and the cubs will have set a Media Record
in just over a week. If you were a Japanese Tourist, and flipping thru the TV and reading the newspapers, who would you be most interested in?
