With John Dewan...White Sox ranked 25th in off season moves as measured by Bill James' Win Shares. Cubs were like 5th. Tigers were #1!

Ozzie Guillen over Manuel has to equal about 5-7 wins, and I am not even a big fan of Ozzie just yet. That is more than any player.

Its sad that we think that hiring a rookie manager is the number one addition to our team that was made this offseason.

He also said (this I found amazing) - Bartolo Colon was worth +17 win-shares and Uribe was worth +9.

That must be some absolutely AMAZING defense Uribe played last year, because he didn't get those win-shares with the bat.

If you're wondering whether +9 is good or not, Maddux earned +11 last season.

If hype was related to Win-Shares - the media would have had to go 9/11ths as nuts over Uribe as they did over Maddux.

That would have been awesome!
