Very good article, couldnt agree with it more. Would be nice to get that difficult test right away, we win a few games against the Yankees so early will be a huge emotional boost for the rest of the season, and certainly almost guarantee a better start than last year.
And would be great if Jon could pull out that game, would be a great confidence booster for him and propel him to the season we have all been expecting from him for awhile now.

If we prove ourselves that early on that stage, hopefully it will set the tone. It will also put us on the map this season and steal a few headlines from our neighbors to the North. And hell, even if we don't win, nobody expected us to anyway. We have nothing to lose.

If Garland can go out and have a good outing against the Yankees, that could be a sign of great things to come. Here's hoping if he runs into trouble early, that Oz stays with him. It couldn't help him too much when JM was ready with a quick hook. The only way these guys are gonna have success is if the manager is patient with them.

Exactly. It's a no-lose situation. If we lose, then we lost to the Evil Empire. If they make it a good series, with close games, then that can mean nothing but positive news for the Sox. And if they win, well then look out. That could change the whole season.

This series don't mean s### more than any other. We've never had problems with the Yankees.

How did you figure that one---The Yankees have owned us exept for 2 years lately--last year and 2000--and dont even get me started about the 60s and 70
