Is pitching from behind in the count to every batter! He's falling into the old trap of not throwing strikes. He hasn't been hurt by it yet, but another lead-off walk in the third inning, he's gonna get burned eventually....3 walks in 2IP????

I think he's just scared to let them hit it. Poor kid often looks lost as hell on the mound. He does seem to find ways out of his precarious situations.....ie home to first DP.

Yeah, he got out of it, but he won't throw strikes again. It's become a growing trend over the past 3-4 starts, and seems to be getting worse. On top of that, if a hitter fouls off a few pitches, in a full count, he seems scared to throw anything but cookie fastballs right over the middle. Thank God this is the Kitties, because Cleveland would have scored about 8 runs in this inning (3rd)

3-4 starts? It's only been a problem this start and the last one.

Uhhh, 15 walks in 28.3 IP in his last 5 starts, and already 4 BB's in 3 IP today....

Well, you should look at the starts. He had one walk in each of his 4th to last and 3rd to last starts.

and 6 in the one before that....

I'll give him that he's induced a ton of timely GIDP's and been able to pitch out of them, generally, but you have to throw strikes, and the sooner he figures it out, the better. Does he kick back in the Clubhouse and sleep when Buehrle's on the mound???
