Dan Evans: May have to interview for his own job!

New team owner Frank McCourt met with Evans on Friday and told him the team will start a search for a new general manager -- and that Evans' name will be on the list of candidates.

McCourt said he hopes to reach a decision by the beginning of spring training. The status of manager Jim Tracy would be left to whichever general manager is chosen, McCourt said.

I'd take that as a slap in the face. After you meet with me, you decide if you want me to stay or not. Don't interview other people for a job I already have.
