Sorry if this has been posted already, I haven't seen it anywhere yet. Anyone else hear Ozzie this afternoon on 1000? Unfortunately I missed the beginning of the interview, but what I did hear he was answering questions about the pitching staff and comparing it with the Marlins of last year, where their top victory guys (Redman/Willis) led the team with only 14 wins, and how we could do something similar. He also went on record to say that the closer position is open to competition, but if he had to name a closer TODAY his guess would be Koch. He also used 1001 cliches like "gonna do the little things, advance runners, take the extra base, play defense..." yadda yadda yadda--haven't we heard that before? Anyway just wanted to see what anybody thought of the interview.

Those were once cliches. Talking about the Sox these days they are radical, revolutionary, innovative.

His comment on frank was interesting: "he wants him to run the bases better"

Also, and I don't mean to be rude, his accent will lead to much merry making on the part of local talk show hosts in the coming year. I fear for him. If the Sox start off slow, he will be a laughing stock by the all star break.

I think Ozzie may be a laughingstock before the end of Spring Training.

Didn't you hear Ozzie comment on the Indians' Japanese Pitcher's gay porn video? He said It would be "hard for his teammates to swallow."

LOL

That will be terrible if any radiohosts make fun of his accent. The great Sammy Sosa's english isn't exactly that good either.

What are you guys talking about. He's been on the radio for some time now, and no one is busting his chops. Even if they have in the past, which I haven't heard, as long as he proves he's a good manager- then who cares.

Then there is the clarinet player Dick Johnson. If you prefer to go both ways, there's the pianist Dick Hyman.

This is all I have to say,
Yes I am very disappointed by this off-season.
Yes I think they might win this division.
No I am not excited. It just sickens my stomach
about this team and how we have to put up with Reinsdorf
and his money making. Please sell the team Jerry to someone
who wants to spend the money to win !!!!!
