If he turns out to be a bust as some posters here think, at least it won't be from a lack of effort on his part.

This is no guarantee that he will be the answer to our center field problems, but at least he seems to realize that he needs the extra work just to be a decent starter.

This article has to be the laziest piece of work the Cubbune has put forth in a long time. It is a virtual rewrite of an article on the Sox website that was put up last week.

Only with less detail. It speaks well of Rowand though. There is no substitute for talent, but when you work hard like that, it pays dividends. Besides Rowand has talent. Being healthy and knowing the starting role is his will bold well for him. He's never had both.

I don't think we should revisit the Rowand thing until after the all star break. Then, everyone can say "I told you so."
