I mean...When will the excitement stop? Uribe, Person and now possibly Erickson? One word-Unreal.

I would love to see the Sox bring in Erickson on a minor league deal. With the #4 and #5 spot open in the rotation, it would make for good competition between Schoeneweis, Diaz, Cotts, Person, Erickson, and possibly Rauch.

I like having two question marks in the rotation as much as the next guy, but the more options the Sox have the better.

A minor league deal might be ok.

But it's been a while since he's been any good, and even then, he hasn't done much since '97.

HE would only get a minor league deal. He's coming back from surgery on a torn labrum. This is his second arm surgery since his last decent season which was in 1999. He missed 2001 and 2003 rehabing from surgeries.

He would be worth the risk of a minor league contract.

impressed scouts with his slider and has high-80s velocity.

That's yawn-tastic.

It sounds like Jim Parque all over again.
